Jesus on the Lake 2022

After the Easter Conference and the Christival, casayohana was represented at another festival: Jesus at the Lake in Bayreuth. We are grateful for offers of support that could be heard in the conversations on site.

The heat was on: well over 30 degrees it was hot on the extended festival weekend from 16 to 19 June 2022, but that did not stop visitors from dropping by "Jesus at the Lake". The Nordbayerischer Kurier writes of a total of over 2500 visitors.

Also the hard-working helpers from the Christus-Gemeinde in Creußen could not be deterred by the temperatures. It was they who looked after the casayohana booth at the festival and thereby made such a valuable contribution to our families. "We sowed a little bit - I hope it grows," says Siegfried Trenz, one of the booth attendants. By this he means the on-site conversations, which are always a benefit for our foundation. Some young mothers, for example, had directly offered to bring over clothes that no longer fit their children.

The weather was so hot, though, that not too many people made their way from the lake stage to the booths to stop by casayohana. Sandra Siegert, another helper, unceremoniously set out herself to join the conversation. She, too, had a success to report: A young woman was interested in a short-term service in Peru.

This shows once again how important every encounter is - and how crucial every support can be, even if it seems small to ourselves. Thank you for your support!
