The most important recent Corona figures:

Unfortunately, case numbers continue to rise.
The 7-day incidence is currently 111.6 new infections per 100,000 population.
82.9% of the Peruvian population is fully vaccinated and 62.1% have had their vaccine protection refreshed with the 1st booster vaccination. Peru continues to have the highest mortality rate worldwide for Covid-19 infection. (source 1, source 2)

The Ministry of Health of Peru (MINSA) continues to make great efforts to advance the vaccination process in the population against the coronavirus, as we told you in the last update.

Especially in light of the low temperatures currently experienced in many parts of the country, which increase the risk of infection, MINSA continues to try to engage the Peruvian population in all age groups for (booster) vaccination and remind them of the preventive measures through a variety of campaigns, collaborations and actions. So vaccination campaigns continue to be organized, with vaccination teams coming to schools, going from house to house, offering vaccinations at events with large expected crowds, or using raffles to incentivize people to complete their vaccination coverage (source 5).
Vaccination days are also organized in the most remote villages, especially when they are threatened by low temperatures and frost in particular. (Source 6)

In this cold season, in addition to the risk of contracting coronavirus, there is also a risk of contracting diseases such as influenza or pneumococcus. Thus, even to us already some children come with flu symptoms.
The Ministry of Health therefore also uses the events around vaccination to give people vaccines against these diseases. (Source 7)
