Action "education bus" - Safe way to school to casayohana campus
To get to our campus, many children have to travel a long way from the villages. But the roads are rough and the way too arduous and too far to walk. So our students are picked up and also driven home by hired school buses. Recently, we have received more and more concerned messages that the children on the buses are being harassed by the drivers. Therefore, we try to change the buses every two weeks. However, since this takes a lot of time, it is only a temporary solution. In addition, there is the unreliability of the drivers.
Our claim, however, is that casayohana is a place where children and women can feel safe - this also applies to the journey to our premises. Only in this way can children carefree and happy to learn. Therefore, we want to acquire our own casayohana bus, which will be driven by one of our employees.
To make this possible, we need your help! The bus costs about $45,000 (about 40,500€) and can carry 15 people, including the driver. With the educational bus we give assaults and violence on our children no chance and can offer our protégés outside the premises of casayohana safety.
