***Necessity is the mother of invention***It's obvious: Asiry Sayri, the smiling princess, is growing & it's getting harder and harder for her mom to carry her. She doesn't fit into a normal stroller anymore & we don't have a child's wheelchair. What to do? Carmen, one of our Peruvian employees, becomes active & looks around for possible alternatives. In fact, she finds a stroller for older children with which it might be possible. However, due to her infantile cerebral palsy, Asiry has difficulties to sit stably. Now our janitors go into action & build supports for the feet in the appropriate place. Celina, the occupational therapist, additionally develops a method to stabilize her with chumpis (Peruvian woven bands). The gratitude is written on Asiry's parents' faces. For the near future, this problem is solved.
