Employee Day

With a one-year delay, the first day for all those who work in the casayohana foundation could finally be held in Weißenburg on October 16, 2021. This was a very important day, as quite a few of the employees had never seen each other live before. It was all the nicer that only very few had to excuse themselves for this day. And so a colorful group of almost thirty people came together in the parish hall of St. Andreas, which the parish of Weißenburg had kindly made available: From the board of trustees, the board of directors, the public relations team, the administration, people from all age groups, united and brought together by the common goal of supporting the work of casayohana or Bine Vogel in Peru. Therefore, it was a special gift that Bine herself was just in Germany and could participate in the day.
The program included getting to know each other and team development. For this purpose, Matthias Vogel, Chairman of the Foundation, had invited the consultant and coach Andreas Külpp, from Külpp & Partner, who got the CY team going and talking to each other using clever methods. Important impulses from his many years of experience in working in teams were also incorporated. It was amazing to see how the team spirit grew visibly during the course of the day. This was also the opinion of our patroness, Dean Ingrid Gottwald-Weber from Weißenburg, who was able to experience large parts of the day. Particularly touching at the end were, on the one hand, the appreciation parade, in which everyone gave very personal words of appreciation to everyone. On the other hand, there was a live link to Andahuaylas, where the team in Peru had just gathered for their anniversary celebration. A welcome motivational boost for the employees to see for whom we are committed here!

A special floral thank you was given at the end to Annette Büttel, who had done most of the organizing for the day. With cordial thanks also the married couple Helga and Udo Ehrentreich was considered, which provided as service forces in the background for the fact that the expirations ran with the external supply round. The extremely delicious buffet of the butcher's shop Struller was also praised and not to forget the delicious cakes during the coffee break. Rev. Friedemann Büttel, member of the board of trustees, concluded the day with prayer and blessing. And afterwards everyone agreed that such a staff day must be repeated. Well then: See you in 2022!
