What we want to achieve
Casayohana is the home of social welfare work in the province of Andahuaylas in Peru. It covers the following areas:
"NIÑOS DE LA CASA"
offers help for families with disabled and chronically ill children and children with special needs:
- Education, guidance, and counseling for parents and caregivers in nursing, disease management, nutrition, and therapy;
- Support in coordinating, implementing, and financing diagnoses and therapies (e.g., physical therapy, medication, covering diagnosis costs, etc.);
- Provision of basic foodstuffs, baby food, diapers, etc.
We visit the families in their homes and work with them and local authorities to determine what help is needed.
"Vida Liberada"
(=liberated life) works with abused, mistreated, and neglected children and women.
- Support and processing of traumatic experiences;
- Play therapy for children;
- Training in areas such as nutrition, hygiene, health, culture, self-confidence, and legal rights—especially women's and children's rights...
- Guidance on self-sufficiency, e.g., catering, arts and crafts...
- Support with dealing with authorities;
- Mediation discussions with married couples/families;
- School tutoring and support with education
We work closely with municipal authorities, communities, and local NGOs to provide culturally appropriate, practical, and sustainable assistance.
Through our counseling and assistance services, we want to make God's love tangible. Our foundation for this is Jesus' actions toward us humans in the Bible.
Casayohana provides all of these activities with the space they need to be able to help even more continuously and profoundly.
